Patriotism in one thing that is easy to say but difficult to implement. In the name of identity, Nepal is heading towards an endless chaos. My heart gets heavy as I think about Nepal's future. Where is Nepal heading? Where are We heading? This peaceful country is now fighting in the name of ethnicity. Nepal is awaiting Jestha 14 with lots of hopes and aspirations, but, along with it, doubts and insecurities have grown roots in Nepalese' minds. Sometimes I feel there's no point in thinking about all of these stuffs, after all I have other things of my personal interest but the other side of me doesn't let me neglect it either. Wonder what future holds for Nepal and its people......

  1. We were living in dark and so we didn't see we had problem now that there is light we see chaos and multitude of problems.

Nepal has never been peaceful country ....there was just an illusion of peace ... hope for peace is bleak Because of it's geopolitical realities....

it is the country which has been undergoing with voilent power struggle since ages.....it is the same country where ethnic nationalities were brutally slaughtered and suppressed .... may it be slaughtering of unarmed Magar tribal people of ligligkot by Drabya shah or may it be slaughtering of newar civilians of kathmandu valley by P.N shah ....may it be killings of limbu people just becoz they refused to celebrate dasain during rana era.....these are untold stories of suppressed people which even nepalese history books didn't mention...
(source: “Nepal Geschenk der Götter ”,Dr.Behr)

keeping history aside...even in present context there has been suppression and ethnic nationalities and they are neglected by state and mainstream media ...it's just that we don't know the pain of the other side

    another perspective....
people say ....."let's not divide the Nation in the name of ethnicity ".... but then nobody is asking of partition or division of nation...media has portrayed ethnic people as people trying to divide nation which isn't the case....they simply want their identity be reflected in nation....they wanted to be part of nation and nation making but we instead of trying to include them...we doubt them and their intentions....

conflict and chaos arises when we fail to understand each other ....we r not trying to understand the story of the other side...we say " himal pahad terai koi chhaina parai" but we just say dont practise....if u look in the statistics u will see condition of ethnic people ...it's easy for us ( brahmins, chhetris and newars)who have access to education , opportunities and privileges of the state.....
think about tamang people just outside ktm who sell their kidneys to repair roof and whose daughters elope with pimp in hope of better life and are sold to redlight districts ...think about magar people of west who have nothing to eat for 3-4 months and thus have to go to india for half of the year to survive.....if u see poverty indices....
only 10% brahmin , 20% newar and 40% chhetris are below poverty line but for other janjaatis more than 50% people are below poverty ( source: HDI report) line...there is discrimination and disparity and this has to end....if this state goes on ...there will be civil war .... hence federalism is only way out before things gets worse .....(source: the social inclusion in nepal by Dr.Harka Gurung)

there has been lot of misunderstandings about federalism....federalism in context of nepal is merely decentralisation of state and identity based system will ensure local culture and heritages to be conserved and developed...This system has been successful in nations with similar context to nepal....Media has created all this confusions and mess and we r making it worse by believing it....

let's not be fooled by Media and politicians....lets not worry much.....whatever happens ...happens for GOOD....:)
